Greg You are gettign old,,, that was a Comb generator for HFC , Phase locks. Pain in the #$%% to keep every channle phase locked.
The term kicking a modulator came from the SA drawers mods. remember the fancy little dog bone for pulling drawers. This was back when cable TV was fun.
