Re: Picture formats changing?

sorry,i haven't updated my info on here since 2001. You are obviously not in the field any more to see some of the things that are changing in the industry. "This" is not something that has always been here, this has just been happening in the last month. I know a little about aspect ratios, and broadcasts have always used a 4:3 ratio until the past 10 years or so. The problem i am seeing and getting complaints about looks like they are broadcasting a 16:9 to an analog tv set. And of course there is no aspect ratio adjustment on the older tvs. I posted this to see if i could get some answers not a sarcastic response. If i would have been looking for sarcasm i would have asked a bears fan, but thanks anyway.
