Re: Why I got out of cable

Still doing it but now for Uncle Sam, Over see fiber projects and inspect/ QC communications rooms for them now. Best job I've ever had, good pay, great benefits, more paid holidays, comp time, vacation time and sick leave than I've ever known. Still do some traveling but it's never more than 3 or 4 days a month and everything is paid for. I'm usually home nights and always home on the weekends.
Everyone I work with is amazed at how work much I get done in a day. (Still got the contractor mentality) I also love when I get to a new project and people think I'm just a paper pusher and don't know shit about fiber, coax or copper then I prove them wrong.
Now I've gotten spoiled with the pay and benefits don't think I could go back to  contracting for a living.....but you never know life has a way of changing your plans weather you want to or not.
