I was selling bottled water door to door.. I was trying to sell them a five gallon bottle delivered for 6.00 dollars when they could easily go down to the local water vending machine and pick the same thing up for 1.25. I heard about this dude that was making all this money in cable and decided I was done trying to sell a luxury item. The first day I sold 6 customers in about 4 hours. About 4 years later I left cable and started selling houses. I hated every minute of it. I took a year off and drive to Cancun and did nothing. When I was there I asked myself what in the hell has ever made me happy. The only thing I could think of was that I loved selling cable. I moved from Cancun on Cinco De Mayo of 05 to St Louis. I played golf for one month while I waited for Charter to call me for an inhouse position. I would walk my resume in everyday and wonder why they never would call with all my experience. I ended up answering this ad in the paper that allowed me to sell cable as a contractor.. A contractor? whats that?? I can travel around from city to city selling cable? Life is good!!!!!
