Amen, and amen! Saying the sinner's prayer just for fire insurance isn't being saved. True heartfelt repentence, embracing what Christ did at the cross, and His resurrection is. The Bible says, in John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." As long as we are in this world, we will have the sin nature, and there will be times we stumble. I think the key word to what you are saying is "embracing". If we embrace sin, we cannot call ourselves saved, as repent means to turn away, so if we embrace it, we haven't turned from it. Tell me, Rob, do you feel you can lose your salvation?
