It was just the damaged LNB that I replaced. Even though the HD signals weren't coming in after I replaced it, I forgot that sometimes when a receiver hasn't had a certain sugnal after a while that the box will no longer recognize it. You notice that sometimes when you run a second line DVR when the initial tech was too lazy to do it. After you run the line, it still isn't getting signal on tuner 2. So what do you do? You flip open the bottom panel and push that cure-all red button. That's all I had to do after replacing the LNB, but like I said I didn't have access to the box the first time cause it was behind the bar during dinner rush hour. But hey, they fed me 'til my stomach was about to burst and paid me 70 bones (Directv wanted $120 and couldn't be out until AFTER the Super Bowl). Not bad for a service call.
