Yeah, you got 5 cents a foot, but you had a foreman that got of the truck, had your bolt/clamp at the bottom of each pole waiting for you, copper reel if it needed a vertical, did all the throwing through trees, etc., etc.. Also remember racing to frame each pole and down, we used to do it for "6 packs" at end of day. Course, that was just a thing to get it done, every one bought beer at the end of the day & hang out "at the warehouse" together until it was gone. And oh yeah, I worked for a company that used to be a good one to work for, is still around, not the same, we got paid for verticals & down guys/anchors as a separate line item.
