Another source at another site in MI where it gets cold reports the same problem...but the cure is use only the Eagle / Aspen LNB. They report all IRDs ok and problems go away when any LNB is replaced by the Eagle/ Aspen.
Also they report DirecTV is not admitting the LNB thing is a problem and is not issuing cx credit for th F'ed up LNBs.
