A reasonably decent contract company will train you on the proper terminology, specs, and install procedures. Most "greenbeans" roll with a veteran tech for a minimum of 2 weeks. Jones/NCTI is a good place but can kind of confuse you if you don't really have an idea about the field work, no to mention it os rather pricey. Plus a lot of companies will cover the cost of those same certs you shell out $3-400 for. Who has the contract in your town? Perhaps some dawgs will know a little more about them.
