Get the WHITE Makita 18v lithium ion the blue one is not any better than the white one and costs $100 more.  I have had mine for three years, have dropped it many times and it has NEVER failed me.  it come with 2 batteries, I bought a third battery with the money I saved.  BE CAREFUL when you torque the platter bolts, you can warp the dish. a quick short trigger pull will do just fine.
