The non smart ass answer is that most Directv customers have never met a Directv employee. They have met installation contractors. As the Directv system has been evolving the Home Service Provider  master contractors have been added to the mix. These companies have done the installations for DirecTV. In addition the HSPs have subcontracted the work to smaller local companies.

From there you have to look at specific companies in specific areas. You are correct to ask.
