Re: Worn Out Techs? Get Out Now!

My old manager told me about this time when all his techs staged a walkout. They showed up, took their routes and equipment and then left the shop as if everything was normal. At around 11:30, my manager's phone started blowing up with in-house supervisors wondering why nobody had put themselves on site or put in ETAs. None of the techs were answering their phones either. A one day walkout will put the company you contract for up against the wall where he will have no choice but to bend to your demands or else close up shop. A 3 day walkout will force Directv to pressure that same company into changing its business practices. Hell, a walkout, followed by demands for a change in management would probably be the best way to go.Anybody who is currently contemplating a maneuver like this should check out my post on co-ops in the 'subscribed/unions' section. I truly feel like that could be the future of our industry. I appreciate all the feedback I can get.
