Step #1- Get an attorney
Step # 2-Get an accountant
Step # 3-Subscribers passed- miles of plant (UG/Aerial)-Active basic subs
Step # 4-Existing prints-existing design-future extensions
Step # 5-Age of system-upgrade or rebuild
Step # 6-Basic cost per subscriber at time of purchase ""AFTER:: cost of Programing, electrical bills, office expense, field tech, vehicle, gas, insurance, tower cost, sat cost, land tax, franchise fee's, etc, etc,
Step # 7- New cost per subscriber ""IF"" You upgrade/rebuild to include new walk out, new prints, design,material, construction, new installs, STB, new office staff and office, vehicle expense, "Tech Training", electrical, phone, I-Net, programing, possible new Sat, towers, new franchise fee, more attorney fees, more accountant fee's, etc, etc.
Step # 8- years of pay back, year to turn profit, etc
If looking for funding, this is just the starting process.  There is a lot more to owning a systems than what you see in the field.  It's good if you have the knowledge "HOWEVER"  now it's a daily business that you will be tied to for the next 7-10 years,  Yea you'll get a pay check but you won't see any profits for some time.   If such a good location "WHY" doesn't existing owner upgrade/rebuild.  Offer them your services and retire on the system doing what you do best---- Field Services.
