That picture of the island was taken from the 7-mile bridge the beach is on the north side but if you do a goggle earth of it you will see the south side & east side is full of bomb craters in 2ft of water low tide, it is a coral shelf that runs about 300 yards south & 400 yards east, and It is some of the best spiny lobster holes here.
those holes are loaded with black & red grouper also but the Fucking treehuggers here have put a ban on grouper fishing from jan 1 to may 31
Money Key back in the 60's had a aerial blimp on it to monitor Cuban radio stations, in the late 60's the navy used it for a target range for pilot training out of Key West NAS, In 1972 my friend James Kyle and his brother bought it from the government for $350.00 thru part of a land deal program they also got Molasses Key and Little Money Key none of them can be built on because of new building codes, but are great for nude sun bathing & diving
J-Zee bought a 3 acre island about 3 miles offshore in the gulf in Marathon for Beyonce's birthday, and he is building a house on it right now
I have some carpenter friends here that are going to do some work on it for the General Contractor
