Need some info on all these background checks

Question? Curious my business partner and I have been working together for numerous years on various projects. Unfortunately, a year ago my business partner was found guilty of a couple cases involving insurance fraud. My question is, will this hinder him in being able to work if they run a background check ? What kind of Felonies are these compnaies looking at any or just certian kinds ? I am just try to decide if I should move on by myself or what  to due  we are splicers so we dont go into any house  any info would be greatly appeciatted thanks
