Hookman is correct, the best way to learn is experiance. I learned by joining one of the splicers for a couple of hours after building plant all day, I worked for free building parts and tapping. When I was a trainer for CableCom it would take about 6 weeks to turn out a competant splicer, it's not hard to do you just have to be able to read and comprehend a print, system specs and turn 2 wrenches at the same time.
