Re: working in philadelphia pa??

My father was a Philly cop and I was a prime for installs and construction in Philadelphia for Comcast. There are definitely areas you dont want to be in after dark, but I had many more problems with the unions than the people in the neighborhoods. Cable guy can turn off the TV for the whole block, they generally dont mess with you unless you are doing discos.

Dont act afraid, lock your doors when your out of the truck and dont act stupid and you will be OK.

With that said, cable work here is as low pay as the rest of the industry and cost of living here is high. And Comcast is still Comcast but here you are in corporates backyard and the CEO lives here. There are so many back stabbing weasels in management postitions, I would not work here. I walked away from them 6 years ago after being a prime for over 10 years and dont miss it at all. And we were not a little company, at the top I had over 50 people working and was doing well into 7 figures a year and still walked.
