Your situation happens all the time here in TWC land. The installer is responsible to bring everything up to spec, rewire jacks/outlets, and THEN find out there is an issue with porting the number, provisioning, whatever, and have to spend and hour on the phone with PAC.....an hour to do the actual job, then an hour on the phone, and 15 dollars for the install. Sometimes I wonder if they are just trying to phase all contractors out completly.....
