Horse crap! The payouts in the cable and sat biz have become pitiful, hence why you end up with a huge pool of walking brain dead to choose from as installers. And I call them installers because calling them techs is an insult to anybody that is a true technician.
You want contractors (another misused title) to supply gas, truck, tools, GL insurance, in most cases materials, and time only to pay them 40 - 60% of what the job pays if their lucky. Times that by 20 "contractors" and the "contractors" are the ones funding 95% of your business costs as a prime and taking 95% of the risk.
When you pay peanuts don't get all righteous when you see the work getting done by monkeys.
