Re: any good direct contractors

Doesn't matter what the name of the contractor is. If they're doing DirecTV work maybe you'll get paid. Maybe you won't. It's a gamble at this point. Consider this. You'll be giving any DirecTV contractor a couple thousand dollars in business credit because all of them pay three weeks out & hold two weeks of your money. Don't be fooled. You can try to charge for custom work but be prepared to do it for free if the customer bitches. If you can afford to very possibly lose at the very minimum two weeks pay along with the gas and material if they leave town with your money then go for it. DirecTV will not back you up because they will pay the contractor and not you regardless of your sob story. If the contractor doesn't pay you and you sue, the courts can do nothing except give you a judgement. Which you will have a hell of a time collecting. Go back and read all the earlier posts pertaining to this. Finding another line of work or going in-house would be a better bet. The days of contracting for DirecTV are over unless you're a fool. Why do you think they always need new techs? If it was such a great gig they wouldn't have a problem keeping techs.
