Re: True Grir Remake

Wow, just proves how great the cable dogs are. All these John Wayne fans. I have great memories of my youth watching these great movies. I probably wont see the new true grit till it hits tv. I don't find time to go to the movies anymore. But I will say Im looking at the remake as a compliment to an American hero. It goes without saying that no one could out act the Duke, cause it wasn't an act for him. My dad had him in his cab in NY back in the day. He said that was John Wayne, on screen and in the back of a mans cab. He had a flask of whiskey in his coat and my old man was offered a swig. Back then in a different time he was able to take it. One of the greatest days of my old mans life. He left him a good tip to. I think Ill break out a few dvd's and a glass of cheap hooch and watch a few good movies.
