Yeah Madre was a great film..Bogart was another one that made some good flicks. Anyone that could nail Lauran Bacall in her prime must have been doing something right.
He made a real good one called Sahara where he played a American tank Sgt in North Africa. He and his crew get lost in the desert and along the way to rejoin their outfit they pick up some Brits, and others. They end up at a well that is drying up surrounded by Germans who need water and Bogart and the rest aren't going to give them any.
I will not give away the ending but it is a great movie. Jim Belushi did a not to bad remake of it in 1996.
