I love the Duke, and have just about all his movies. True Grit is one of my favorite ones, just under Big Jake and Stage Coach.
I am going to see the new version on Thursday. From what I understand it follows the book more than the original and it shows Rooster as the real S.O.B. that he was in the book. I don't think they are trying to remake the movie I think they are trying to make a different film under the same title. Guess I'll find out Thursday.
