Here's part of the problem...

Left an inhouse job not long ago where I was working as a maintenance/System Tech. Was making decent wages...Left because of the upper management shit. Been 5 months and they still hadn't hired anyone. Well one of the service techs that worked under me told me he had applied for the position right after I quit.. This guy is one of the best damn service techs I have ever worked with,, But, he can't splice, has never did a pole transfer or hung strand or fiber or coax, does not know how to sweep or look for noise, in fact he doesn't even know how to use any functions on the meter he has except the signal level. In other words, he is not even remotely qualified for the postion of taking care of two systems with a total of 60 nodes and miles of old MC2 aerial cracked crap, old millenium taps with hundreds of feed through connectors. So, who do you think they gave the position to? I feel sorry for him, now, because they are going to throw him out there to the wolves.
