Just hanging it on the pole does not mean it's secure, I hung a reel one time and the next morning we showed up there was a dozen 12 gauge shells laying on the ground below the reel, some moron stood below it and used the fiber reel for target practice.
He must have been very proud of himself, 12 gauge...20'.....big target not moving........ , never missed once!
