Why use a mini van? just show up on a bike and use the customers tools?And yes, it is about tunning a dish, and there have been many jobs I've done with out a meter, just by using the TV. How can a super buddy help troubleshoot a job any different than a birdog? I'm asking because I've never used a super buddy, can it take a splitter out of a wall? Can it tell me if a receiver is bad, can it tell me if I have a bad fitting behind a wall plate, and which fitting it might be? Can it tell me if the SWM Power inserter is bad, or the SWM splitter, or the DECA receiver? If there is a meter out there that could tell me all that info, i'd surely drop $800 on it. But just for a meter to tell me what the signal strength was on a home I did 2 weeks ago...don't think that can really help me.
