Verizon is just verizon for the most part here.  there is a company that works for them downtown doing DSL installs.  For comcast there is inhouse and then there are 4 contractors.  Baker installations ACI Direct Tri Wire  and Pro cable.  Baker and ACI probably the best 2, tri wire has a good amount of hacks and pro is a small but decent company from what i am told.  Pm me if you want i can possible give you some more info or answer other questions you may have.
