You know you can get your record (driving or criminal) expunged. Each state is different on this but if the rest of your record is ok it may be worth it to look.
This is also part of a bigger issue. Police contact is not common to everyone or every location or every time of day.
Arrests of all types happen where the crime and cops are patrolling (mostly.)
As people come out of jail with some kind of a record what is society to do, ban these folks from ever working again?
Career criminals are often just people who are pretty sure they will never be hired.
Wish I had an answer but it is a question.
