I converted my 1st bucket from Onan to electric pump. Was the BEST decision I made for that truck I think. I had mine done in NJ by a Mobil Tool guy. One massive dry cell battery would last up to 30 revolutions of the boom going up/down; or so I was told, I never tested to confirm, but I never had a dead battery. The biggest part is the pump, battery, hydraulic lines and a circuit board that replaces (or adds to, can;t remmeber exactly) the existing circuits, and running a charging cable from the engine compartment. I think I might have spent about $500 for parts & labor which I thought was a bargain. The boom was faster afterwards.
So if I were still in the biz and looking, I would get ahold of your booms manufacturer (ALTEC now?) and see what they say to help you. Good luck.
