It has been more than a few years for me, but its not a bad gig.
There are some trouble makers out there to keep your eyes on.... But, it was always my experience that people are generally just embarrassed that you are at their door reminding them that they are not doing well. Aside from that, dogs can be an issue, but anyone working in cable should have that one conquered long before they plan on doing collections. The upside is that this is the one time where you don't have to let the customer have their way...
I would say there is really only one pre-requisite to collections..... a spine
