Re: Anchors by hand!!

I mean, I'd rather have a couple of green beans using a sledge hammer and a bust bar. But,,sometimes you gotta do,, what you gotta do...I like giving the outside cutting edge of the anchor one good whack with the sledge, to drop the angle of the bite. Bust bar, rock bar, all the same, in place of two bolts for cranking,, better leverage and depends if you got the room, too. Anyway,,slipping the bust bar through the eye, and anchor is started,, while one twist the anchor, the other hits the head with the sledge. I know that sounds funny,,but,, works for me. Haven't had the privilege to set anchors in potato dirt, very much. But,,,,,why are you screwing them in by hand??? Ain't that 1960's tech. Heh heh heh heh!!!!!!!!
