Re: To splice or not to splice, that is the question.

Darrell,
To splice is not a question these days. You Need to pick up a few splicing lessons and
get out there. The money is only going to be there until this big push is over and then it
is going to be back to normal (work today none tomarow). If your wife and kids can handle
you being away for at least a week at a time then you should give it a shot. But I will tell you
you are not doing bad as an installer making 1000 to 1500 a week and travel expenses can
get quite high. But if you learn quickly and can knock out the footage then you can definately
double your gross income.

I am currently sub-contracting,doing residential installs.I want to learn splicing but am being discouraged by present company.I would like to advance my career and earning potential.I'm being told that the travel alone would kill me,did I mention I'm married
w\ three daughters.I currently make $1000 to $1500 a week and I'm usually home by 3:00.I've heard that I could double my income once I learn the routine and become profficient at it. I would appreciate any insight about pursuing splicing. Please don't
spare me the harsh realities nor the glorious bottom line. Thanks in advance.
