Well maybe that's why you are in between jobs and time on your hands, for not wanting to take the few extra minutes at a location you are already at.

Back in the day's when I was splicing I was sent back to a node 60 miles away for a EOL reading on a 18-8 off of a fnb and
it was just my luck I had a bad internal, for me that was a $300.00 Lesson out of my pocket that day (fuel expense & lost production) for being in to much of a hurry

Thankfully there were no customers hooked up to it so it wasn't counted as an outage, the office girl kicked back my paper work for NO EOL
sure I could of just got in my truck and wrote in some within spec levels, but It would of came back and bit me in the ass, and then I would of been in between jobs and have to much time on my hands also.
