Is burning the Koran truly the best way to remembe

OK by now you must have heard of the minister/pastor or whatever he is that is planning to burn a copy of the koran this Saturday September 11th.
He claims to be doing it to remember 911 and to focus attention on Muslim extremists.

This act naturally has upset both Muslim extremists and moderates alike. The general in charge of the war in Afghanistan says's it will/is undermine our war efforts there to destroy the Taliban and Alcida.

First I personally feel there are much better way's of remembering 911. Because I live here in DC I will be going to the Pentagon (not to see Obama) but to pay honor to not only the men and women who lost there lives there but also the World Trade Center and the field in Pennsylvania. I will then go to Arlington and pay my respects to all the brave American men and women that have given their last full measure in the protection of our country.

That being said I understand fully the reasons the general is upset and I believe he is correct, and that it is giving the extremists ammunition to use against us. I also understand how this has pissed off Muslim's everywhere, just think how up set the Christians would be if it were the bible or the Jews if it were the Torah (not that both have not been burned by Muslims in the past).

But where are the people saying he has the constitutional right to do it? They are screaming that the Muslim's have the constitutional right to build it.

Funny how when the shoe is on the other foot they are suddenly silent.

I personally believe that both parties have the constitutional right to do both, the cemeteries are full of people who died protecting that right.

But I do not believe either is the right thing to do. I say this not as a supporter of either side, I say this as a American citizen.
