Mine started about 3 years ago and back then it was only about twice a year then, over time it got progressively worse to the point of twice a week just before surgery they increased my meds to what they called "A Massive load" basically they threw everything they could at it and it was not working so they recommended surgery.
The best thing I could have done was this surgery, if she has been getting progressively worse over time she should look into it, it is a long procedure (I was on the table for 7 hours) and it takes a couple of day's to recover enough to be left alone at home so be prepared for that.
I had mine done in Boston by from what I have been told is one of the best heart surgeons in the business and from what I see they may be right.
