Had a crack in the shield to deal with today...picked the leak up. It was back off the highway, in a freakin' bayou with shit grown up to your head. Couldn't get a truck in there, water was knee high in someplaces. Trunk had a dent bad enough to cause a radial break. Had to get the ladder through the thicket of privy hedge and trees and bushes, then through head high bush in 2 feet of water, to get to the break about half way between the span. See, using a ladder does suck, but this ladder job really sucked. But really bothered me was, there was nothing any where near the cable to fall or otherwise cause this crap. Lashing wire was broke, so I figure someone shot through the trees or something like that. Just my luck they would hit my shit where it should have never happened.
