With households as a whole, about 75% had a landline phone around the 1st of the year in 2010, so that percent will be even lower now. Of adults living on their own that are under 30, less than 50% have landlines. The older the group of people you look at, on average, the more likely they are to still be using landlines. So satellite installers, as an example, will see fewer than 75% of their customers with landlines, as already reported in this thread by some, since 70 - 95 year old's aren't as likely to be getting satellite service.
