Cut to the chase and read up on the federal labor laws as they supersede state. Essentially no deductions other than standard (fed and state tax, med, SS, retirement plans under agreement, wage garnishment under court orders only, or other deductions for the benefit of said employee when under agreement). As a W2 employee they can't even nail you for any damages. They can fire you and pay you, or just pay you, but they can't just take your wages.
I say since the industry has brought this all down to an almost minimal wage job then you evoke you rights of protection and speak to the proper authorities.
