The Camaros don't fit the wind tunnel profile, lack in downforce, plus the camaro is 3 inches wider on the footprint then the mustang & challanger, that's why the Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am was not NASCAR approved but the Grand Prix was, where the Trans-Am was one of the best IMSA Road Course cars for many of years
and GM has a proven car with the impala so why change it.
I do agree that the challanger is a good looking car
