Well Sat is more freeeee dom.. You can leave your number, make extra money and not have to worry about getting fired for side work, oh but arent you cable guys independant contractors.
But there is a down side... Materials and charge backs are just as bad. So more time with family and the true ability to be a contractor Sat takes the cake.
As for steady work or being over worked Cable is the place for you people with no life 80 plus hours a week. Sat maybe 40 to break a grand.
I think the end is near, you start in Cable get worked to death as a slave, and then get feed up.. So you turn to Sat.... then those 10,000 tons of wire on your shoulders is lifted... Once you get burned on Sat you go to Mcdonalds....
My advise for anyone getting into Sat, pick a company that has ties with the HSP not just a quick start up, most are paying a % of the work back to the Site Manager, so when they get caught your out of your paychecks and job.
