Back then we had no choice. You sit in the truck and when you get out a bell wrench would either hit ir almast hit you. Then an oops would be heard, Or all the crooked poles would be waiting on you or carry all the equipment into the easemnet. We had to earn our spot from driver up. Now if a guy just shows up and does one splice on the ground he considers himself a splicer and for that matter a lineman and has not climbed one pole. They say that because they have been in a bucket truck and did some work. We have made it to easy for the young guys now because we know that if they dont want to do they will quit and go homw to momma. Then youll left with the work and guys running around saying "I cant take a guy yellng at me and its too hot to work" My my how the biz has changed. I do not see these new guys as cable dawgs because today its a title given not earned like me and yourself had to do. Half of these guy do not know what wesco's are and then show up with timberland boots to climb in. LMAO. Its a sad situation LMAO
