I understand what you're getting at, something like feeding RF from one power supply grid to the adjacent one ( I forget that some systems are still using antiquated architechures ). I'm just guessing here, but it would probably be due to the mods already being in the housing, that way there isn't as big of a surge when the power comes back up.
