You are right. The BIG money days for the labor force are gone. The bean counters had the foresight to see what was going to happen to this industry years ago and put their plan into action......slowly cutting wages over several years (so as not to be too obvious), implementing back charge policies that are questionable at best (for their own failed equipment!!??), requring techs to purchase their own install materials, by the time the check comes the average is minimum wage or worse.....unless of course you are one of the few lucky ones sucking up some of the back charge money, or a supervisor double dipping and cherry pickin'........or the MSO taking hard earned money with no remorse or recourse. All part of the plan to take as much as they can before it all comes to a screaching halt.
