Re: Pole climbing accident

I used to kick that shit off the pole when ever I could. Had a guy come out one time and give me shit about taking his basketball backboard and hoop down off the pole. I told him unless he had a attachment agreement with the power company it was illegal to mount or attach anything to a utility pole and if he put it back up I'd call the power company. I told him they would not be so nice and take time to unattach it they would just rip it off after sending hm a bill for back charged attachment fees.
He didn't know weather to shit or wind his watch after that little bit of news. My job now does not require me to climb poles any more but if I still did I would rather climb than use a ladder or pole steps. I always liked climbing, just as safe as walking down the street, you here of more people getting hit by cars than you do about falling off a pole climbing.
