Re: Low voltage license, certification

so, here's the wooden nickel folks..  and i cant speak for the cable or fiber world that much, because i havent done much there in years.. but in the sat world, licensure, certificates and etc arent that bad really..  i have worked as a contractor, as an in house guy, and a few point in between..  most of the classes arent bad, depending on how they are taught.. most of the information isnt hard, nor is the actual work.  a lot of it is what you put into at the end of the day.. i can tell you in PA, you need all the classes you can that are provider specific, i.e. DTV or DNS, but there is no state license yet..  i'm sure over time though the governor will want his cut too..  my reccomendation, if you want to work, go do it!  find a good company to work with it, stick it out and see what happens..  whoever you work for should be able to guide you in the right direction for whatever training or licensure you need
