Goes without saying but make sure the connectors match. Sc/apc to SC/apc (green to green) or blue to blue. You will get alot of extra attenuation if you mis match connectors. We hit our Prisma's with 16 db analog or 10 db for digital carriers Qam 256  6 Mhz wide channel. These things are about 15 years old now. If you need a manual on these PM me.
