Smart Phones

with so many cable companies going to a true paper less work order system, anybody know which smart phones will work in these systems.  I am hearing certain smart phones will and will not work.  Does it make a difference which cable company I work for, as to which phone will work?  Any help would be great.  Thanks guys and ladies.
