How in the world can the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People be a group that is NOT considered racist? I would go so far and say they also have underpinnings of being Un-American in how they operate. On what thier stated goals are.
How can they say they are for "One people. One America." when in the name of the organization is about people of color? Do they not realize that words mean things??
The NAACP loves the word "Diversity"
di·ver·si·ty /d?'v?rs?ti, da?-/ Show Spelled[dih-vur-si-tee, dahy-]
–noun, plural -ties.
1. the state or fact of being diverse; difference; unlikeness.
2. variety; multiformity.
3. a point of difference
....They also love the word "Unity"
u·ni·ty /'yun?ti/ Show Spelled[yoo-ni-tee] Show IPA
–noun, plural -ties.
1. the state of being one; oneness.
2. a whole or totality as combining all its parts into one.
3. the state or fact of being united or combined into one, as of the parts of a whole; unification.
4. absence of diversity; unvaried or uniform character.
5. oneness of mind, feeling, etc., as among a number of persons; concord, harmony, or agreement.
Now call me crazy, but each of those words are opposites of each other. How can you call for the advancement of all Americans when in your own organizations name you are singling out COLORED PEOPLE!!
Ok ....let's look at it from the NAACP point of view. Let's say they truely believe that they are there for everyone in America regardless of skin color. That at the NAACP, a persons equality with other races should not be based on skin color. That the NAACP wants to help all Americans. If this is true ...( http://www.naacp.org/press/entry/naacp-denounces-verdict-of-oscar-grant-case/ ) Then WHY are they making it a point on thier website to blatantly point out the fact that it was a BLACK man that got shot. Why does it matter that he's black? Why isn't thier story headline about a young american male that was shot??
Teddy Roosevelt wrote in a letter back in 1919 "...for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all...."
So ... the lesson is ... There should not be any "African-American", or "Asian-American", or "Mexican-American" .... just ..... AMERICAN. But for some reason ... the NAACP is proudly pushing African-American. Why? Why are they pushing that distinction when thier stated goal is for all Americans??
In my opinion .... The NAACP is still the same NAACP that was founded a century ago except they are using PR and PC tactics to attempt to distract everyone from the fact that they are ALL about promoting and pushing an agenda for black supremacy by any means necessary. Make no bones about it, if you have an asian man, black man, white man, or indian man all going for the same job .... The NAACP wants the black man in that position regardless of qualifications or experience.
And THIS is why I believe the NAACP to be a racist and un-American cult.
NAACP Is All About Race
