X2 on what Joe said. I would also add make sure your return test point comp and RX level are set correctly. I ran the FWD pilot(s) just below channel 2 at 10dB lower than video channels.. You also want to place the SST simulating cable loss as if it was going into your CMTS that way you set tilt flat from at the node 5-42 hitting your ubr ports. Trust me on this, when you start putting multiple Upstream QAM carriers on the return you want them hitting the CMTS flat.
