I've used it for many years. I now use the 9581-SST
To read the return sweep, you required a 860-DSPi for the field with the option SSR installed in it.
You also have to set a communications frequency between the 9580 and the 860, I usually use 75.3 MHz
This frequency has to be programmed in the 9580 and the 860
You also have to enter at least a couple of return frequencies (between 5 and 40 MHz)to do the weep fonction.
You can program as much as 8 frequencies for the return sweep.
